Integrate Minimaxi Subtitle Translation and Dubbing

Starting from patch v3.98, Minimaxi Text-to-Speech (TTS) and subtitle translation are built into the software.

Note: Accounts and balances are NOT shared between the China and Global platforms.

Integrate Subtitle Translation

The setup process is the same as above.

  1. Go to Menu > Translation Settings > Minimax AI.

  2. In the API field, Mainland China users should enter https://api.minimaxi.com/v1, while Global users should enter https://api.minimax.io/v1. Note: Although both are Minimaxi, accounts, API keys, and balances are completely separate between the Chinese site (https://www.minimaxi.com/) and the Global site (https://www.minimax.io/).

  3. Enter your API Key in the SK field. You can create one here: https://platform.minimaxi.com/user-center/basic-information/interface-key

  4. On the main interface, select Minimax AI as your translation channel.

Integrate Dubbing (TTS)

  1. Go to Menu > TTS Settings > Minimaxi API.

  2. For the API, Mainland China users should select api.minimaxi.com. For global services, select api.minimax.io. Again, accounts, API keys, and balances are not shared between the Chinese site (https://www.minimaxi.com/audio) and the Global site (https://www.minimax.io/audio).

  3. Enter your API Key in the SK field. You can create it here: https://platform.minimaxi.com/user-center/basic-information/interface-key

Voice Emotion Settings

Minimaxi supports 7 emotions: Happy, Sad, Angry, Fearful, Disgusted, Surprised, and Neutral. However, tests show little difference between them. You can adjust this in the settings if needed.

Finally, unless you have a high-tier enterprise account, you may frequently encounter rate limit errors. To fix this, set a longer pause time under Advanced Options > Pause after dubbing.

Note for Mainland China Users

Real-name authentication (requiring a bank card and linked phone number) is required after login. If unverified, your tests will likely fail.

Additionally, when using this method, go to Menu > Tools/Options > Advanced Options > Dubbing Adjustment. Set Concurrent dubbing tasks to 1, and Pause after dubbing to a value greater than 25. Regular users are limited to 3 requests per minute (one every 20 seconds), so failing to add a pause will cause rate limit errors.
