This open-source project was created out of personal interest and has no commercial plans. This means you can use it for free indefinitely, or fork and modify it yourself (you must comply with the GPL-v3 open-source license). There's no need to worry about limited features in a free version or security concerns from closed-source code.

As for maintenance, well, it's open-source—fueled by passion. When I have free time, I can dedicate more effort to it; when busy, it might be neglected for a while.
